"I've just finished reading this book and I really find it so interesting especially on the romance between Poppy and Griffin I really find it so romantic. While reading the first part of the novel I really did that Poppy's close friend wasn't who was convicted of murder that there's just s ome twist to this story like the novel Flirting with Pete....but anyway I can't give much for the story cause it might spoil everything but It was really fun reading but since I was too busy with my school that I wasn't able to finish it as early as I want it to be. Still this novel really rocks!"

"I just finishing An Accidental Woman and I'm really sad for that. When I finished reading the Lake News, I'm not this sad because there's still have a story about the Blake sister on An Accidental Woman. But now, I really have a heartache. I want to read more about the life of Lily and John, Poppy and Griffin along with other people of Lake Henry. Great job on how you describe the fearness, the guilt feeling on Poppy and I really adore Griffin Hughes. He is so charming. The way he treat Poppy, help Micah and everything. One of the best book I ever read other than Lake News."

"I enjoyed the book alot. I was thrilled to find out what had happened to everyone in the first book. But it is definitely not a sequel. This book seems to have a story of its own. One that is very enjoyable to read. "

"An Accidental Woman was one of the best books I have ever read. I was able to conect to the character Poppy Blake in the way that I was just like her personality wise minus the wheel chair. While reading it, it felt as though I was in Lake Henry standing back observing the story happen. Barbara gave enough description that I can perfectly see the whole town in my head right down to Victoria the cat. I fell in love with the book and I am excited to continue reading other Barbara Delinsky books! "

"AN ACCIDENTAL WOMAN deals with potentially debilitating emotional stress. Characters work through life in a wheelchair, and having a close friend/mother/caring-woman railroaded and wrongly arrested in the middle of the night. Stress is everywhere, yet people deal and, like maple sugar production, come to enjoy the sweet parts of life. This delightful novel shows how to live through trauma. Self-help books move over. Delinsky's fiction does it better, with pleasure and a never ending supply of common sense. This writer wins against all odds. Her readers win even more. "

"Greetings from Hungary!
This might sound odd, but I've just finished your book... finished translating it! And I really enjoyed reading it too, so I'm looking forward to sharing your novel with the Hungarian readers, and I am somewhat proud that I took part in it! Best wishes: Daniel "

"I love an Accidental Woman. What impressed me was how Griffin would not give up on Poppy. Too often society looks down on those of us with disabilities and feels that we are unable to contribute to the lives of those around us. We saw in Lake News that though Poppy was a paraplegic, she still lived a productive life. I feel that she chose her job because she felt inadequate as a person, and she implies that she also felt inadequate as a woman. Then along comes Griffin who will not let her stay in that little comfort zone she had created for herself. It was through reading this book that I found, though I am very active and somewhat daring, that I have allowed society to limit me as well, and knowing I am able to do much more then I do, was a wake up call. The way I saw Poppy at the end is where I see myself going. Instead of allowing her disability, she chooses to realize that she has different abilities, and I have decided to do the same. Thanks Barbara for writing books that reach deep down into the core of all people. I believe that everyone who reads this book will be able to find something in which to help them improve their own outlook on life. "

"Barbara, I just finished your book this afternoon. I loved the sentence where you wrote: "Blind women have kids," Poppy argued. "Deaf women have kids. Women with rock-bottom IQs have kids...." I loved that quote because it shows that you know that there are a wide variety of mothers with different uniqueness about them. I am Deaf myself and have two wonderful kids plus one on the way. People look at me in amazement when they learn I'm DEAF! Your quote hit quite well in the book. I'm PROUD of you!! "

"Late last night I finished reading it with tears in my eyes. Your newest book has once again touched me very deeply. Nobody builds relationships like you do and the community of Lake Henry is one I wished I lived in myself. I will continue to reread the passages that touched me most and will look forward rather impatiently for your next book."

"I've just finished AN ACCIDENTAL WOMAN. Thank you for a powerful story of caring, courage, the enduring strength and power of friendship and love. We see so much through your writing. I felt the cold and damp of a Lake Henry late winter, the grueling work of sugaring. My only problem with your books is that you always finish writing before I'm finished reading."

"You've done it again, or rather, better than ever. I have just completed reading AN ACCIDENTAL WOMAN, and all the emotions displayed -- distress, guilt, anger, pain -- are overruled by courage, concern and love. I loved Billy Farraway's bon mot, "Around here you gotta look up to live right. Look up for the sun, look up for the crows, look up for the crown of the tree." This applies to most of life."
