"My Mom was the first to check this book out at the library and then I noticed that the library also had the audiobook available. Since 2008 is the year of the audiobook for me..why, I don't know, but it is...I checked out the audiobook and listened to it in less than three days! Absolutely wonderful! I also did purchase a paperback copy recently to add to my library as I plan to read it as well. "

"Hello!!! The vineyard is my first book I ever read by BD. I love it so much. It is like watching a movie, only you're reading it. As I imagined it to be, how nice if this was turned into a movie. Every page was not boring. Every chapter was interesting, educating and liberating as well. Opens your mind to something bigger than your imaginations and be prepared to experience. The story was not impossible to imagine, it can happen to anybody... I LOVE everything. While reading the book, I hoped that in someways I could be as much a risk taker as Natalie, as curious and spirited as Olivia, as determined as Simon, as goodhearted as Carl and purely honest as Tess. I am excited to read more books by BD. I'll be back. Thanks."

"The Vineyard is a wonderfully romantic book that is worth taking the time to read. If you are looking for a story to take you away to a place where good things happen to people who deserve it, this is it. "

"I became enamored with your writing with Uplift, a gift from my daughter after my breast cancer diagnosis last September 2007. At that point, we became 'sisters' and I've read Coast Road and just finished The Vineyard, and intend to read ALL of these wonderful writings. I am sad to finish your books, and The Vineyard took me to another place and time and held me captive right to the end...I am so happy to have found you!"

"The vineyard was the first of Barbara's books that I read. I loved the character development, the theme, the information about growing grapes, the romance, the mystery. After this book, I headed to the library and systematically have checked out and read every novel that Barbara has written. However, a couple of weeks ago, I found one called Twelve Across that I had never seen before and snatched it up. For folks on a budget, I find multiple copies of many of Barbara Delinsky's best novels at my local Goodwill store. "

"I must admit I had never read any of your books before. Being unable to get around much with foot surgery, my husband brought some books for me to read. What a surprise!!! As a senior citizen, I really enjoyed reading your book The Vineyard. I look forward to reading more. We need more writers like you. Keep up the good work!!!!"

"This is Delinsky's second book I've read that sent me on a hunger strike. Excellent Work . I wished I was at the scene where Tess helped Simon pluck leaves on the vine and was yelled at. Like Olivia, I can't stand and watch my inquisitive daughter being condemned. With so much Barbara knows about cats, I suppose she loves them and I wish to have one for my daughter. If tomorrow were a public holiday and you wonder what can keep you busy and fulfilled, get "THE VINEYARD." "

"The Vineyard was a very heart wrenching but enjoyable book. There were so many different storylines, but all found completion in the union of Carl and Natalie. I especially loved to see the changes in Simon and Tess, from a man who would not allow himself to feel so he would not be hurt, to a little girl who just wanted to fit in somewhere. I loved how you used the birth of the kittens to bring these two people closer together. I also loved how you showed the true sense of community in time of crisis, and even family coming together though they were at odds in their personal relationships. Often it is crisis that bring people together. I to loved the whole story of longtime love between two people over 70 years, finally being able to share it openly. I found this book to be a teaching tool of relationship building. When secrets that had been kept for the better of all come to light, they can cause pain, but they can also cause people to grow and develop in love. But the best for me was to see Simon, Olivia and little Tess become a family, something that Olivia never had. "

"You have written another novel that I did not want to end. The characters and the story were both so appealing. [Rhode Island] is an area that I am unfamiliar with, but I learned a lot about it and raising grapes for wine. Your research is so evident in every book you write."

"Read THE VINEYARD today. Enjoyed it so much that I had to finish it in one day. Since I am 52, I enjoyed a story in which the rmoance and storyline was not focused on just the younger characters. For a change someone my age was still called beautiful and also planning a life. Even better, the same could be said for the oldest characters. Very positive and uplifting story!"

"I wanted you to know how much I really enjoyed being transported to the Asquonset Vineyard and the opportunity to peek into the lives of this strong yet caring family living at what my mind pictures as a magical world of its own. As I turned the pages, I could smell the grapes and soil ... a true summer read, a real treat to escape into."

"THE VINEYARD contained the unique character development and plot twists that I have come to admire in your writing. I am continually amazed at my ability to connect with the characters and identify with their "quirks." Olivia Jones and Natalie Seebring were no exception. Once again, thank you!"
