"This book is a winner!"
— HP, Manila, Phillipines

"Having worked in nursing all my life, I saw so many of the dynamics you wrote of in 'While my Sister Sleeps'. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I was so prepared for the ending, I thought, but as I lay in bed, reading the ending, much to my surprise, I filled my collar bone areas with a puddle of tears. Thanks for an excellant read."
— RB, Grand Haven, MI

"I absolutely loved this book. I couldn't book this book down. The characters were so real. I actually felt like I was in the hospital room with the snow family and cried with them. Can't wait to pass this book to my co-worker. Thank you for writing such a great book and for being one of my favorite authors. "
— MS, Redlands, CA

"From the moment I started reading While My Sister Sleeps, I was hooked. I felt like I knew the characters personally. I had to keep reminding myself that it's fiction. Every emotion came out in my while reading the book. I cried on the subway, laughed on the bus and got mad while walking the streets. Yes, I read while I'm walking, I don't suggest you try it. The book kept my very short attention span from beginning to end. Actually, I didn't want it to end. I want to know what happens with Molly and David. For now, I will just make it up in my own imagination. Thank you for this book. Obviously, I thoroughly enjoyed it. :)"

"I absolutely loved this book. I myself survived being in a comatose state on life support for three months. Many of the specifics you brought out of the care and awareness a comatose patient has are right on! I've enjoyed reading many of your books and look forward reading your latest 'Not My Daughter'. "
— KT, Crediton, United Kingdom

"Barbara, I just finished reading while my sister sleeps and could not put it down. The mixed emotions while reading it had me in laughter, tears, happy and sad. This sort of similar thing happened to my father only because of a different illness. One night he was here and the next morning in a coma. Very hard to handle at first. Very inspiring book. Keep up the great writing. I love to read your books and am looking forward to reading "Not my daughter" I am sure it is a real eye opener in todays society. Many good wishes to you!"
— BV, Rockford, MI

"I have read every book you have written. I love them all. I know I will get a great read as well as some things to think about when I pick up one of your books. THe first one I read was "For my Daughters". I could not put it down. In fact I gave a copy to each of my three daughters to read. They loved it as well."
— VH, Rochester, NY

"I just finished While My Sister Sleeps. I was riveted - the story and all its twists and turns were woven so seamlessly. I felt like I was there in every scene, a silent observer of the action and emotion. I couldn't put the book down."
— DL, Chestertown, NY

"Just finishe "While My Sister Sleeps" It was such a heartwarming story. Will there be a sequel? I would like to read more about,Molly and the whole Snow family, and what will happen to Nick and David. I love all your books."
— BS, Altoona, WI

"Barbara -- An absolutely amazing book. It was heart-wrenching but I could not stop reading. A tragedy that every family dreads and many have to experience. Robin's gift to everyone was the "coming together" of the family. The love between family members even though you realize that no one in the Snow family was perfect. And who among us are perfect? Totally captivating. Thank you for a great read."
— DR, Woburn, MA

"I just wanted to let you know I enjoyed this book so much, I read it in two days, I couldn't put it down. This book was so close to home for me. My mother had a liver transplant 15 years ago and I just lost her this past April and had to make the same choice to shut everything down, it is a hard decison. Made the same one with my dad in 2005. This book made me cry and I think this book should be made into a movie. It would be a hit! Thank you"
— MH, kansas city, MO

"I read this books between tears - some because of the tragic story of Robin and some for Marjorie. My mom had Alzheimer's and, before she passed away 3/1/09, she did not know me. I felt many times like Kathryn - why bother to go and see her because she didn't know me. But, I was with her the whole day she died and I am glad."
— SR, Smyrna, DE

"I just finished reading While My Sister Sleeps. What a wonderful book. I have read every one of her books. Concerning the issue of being an organ donor makes me rethink whether or not I want to be a donor. The book brings up issues that I never thought about. So, in that respect, I am so glad to have read this book."
— CY, Huachuca City, AZ

"Absolutely loved this book. I couldn't put it down and so many times I had to read through the tears. I have two grown daughters, each so different than the other. They are at odds sometimes but there is that underlying love for one another. I have read most all of Barbara Delinsky's books."
— SH, Maize, KS

"I could not put this book down. I loved Molly! Such a strong person. Instead of focusing on the unfairness of her situation - she investigaed what her sister would want and made that happen. It was awesome! It was true Delinsky fashion - great human relationships and digging deep into the intricacies of families. Keep your Kleenex close-by and tell people you must be coming down with a cold to explain the sniffles! How 'bout a part two - covering Molly and David's budding relationship? You could also give us more of Chris and Erin . . . I hope they make it!"
— JB, Ligonier, IN

"I was fortunate enough to get this book in audio format and was surprised that I could get it so quickly after publication. It was difficult to read after just losing my mom 2 months ago, but once I started reading it a few days ago, I had to finish it. I am not an emotional person but this book for me was healing in that I was able to cry with the family and even at times, laugh. Having been a part of a family where a decision like this has had to be made, I understand how the dynamics of a family and the emotional state of each person in that family can effect how one views the question, decisions and outcomes of such a decision. I am also a recipiant of a kidney transplant and have had the pleasure, though it was painful for the family, to share my experience of receiving my kidney and how much I and so many others have appreciated the gift of life that the organ donor and their family have given me. Thanks Barbara for another very moving and heart renching book."
— WP, Calgary, AB

"I have just finished reading 'While My Sister Sleeps' This is another amazing Barbara Delinsky book and I could not put it down. Even though I felt that the ending was going to be sad, I was captivated by how the lives of those involved were affected and how each, in their different ways, handled the situation. Each character will move on as a stronger person. W.C. Nova Scotia"
— WC, Kentviole, NS

"Every parent with a teenage driver should read this book."
— LD, Boston, MA

"This book is one of Barbara's best. I could not put it down. The story is serious but refreshing - not something we read every day. I was kept guessing about what would happen - even though things were stated, I kept waiting for things to change. (don't want to give too much away) Loved the book - easy read although not an easy topic but it was handled tastefully and wisely. Well worth the read!!"
— IK, Glenview, IL

"I read all of Barbara's books;she is one of my top 3 favorite authors. I read 'While My Sister Sleeps' in two days; I literally coudn'd put it down. I can't wait for her next book!"

"While My Sister Sleeps was an amazing book. I finished it in a day. Just when I thought that I knew what was going to happen there was a twist that was thrown in. I love all of her books! I can not wait until the next one comes out!!I think that everyone should read this book it makes you think what you would do if you were put in their situation. "
— JA, Frederick, MD

"I just finished 'While My Sister Sleeps' last night....what a terrific book! I couldn't put it down. I think I've read all your books (Family Tree) was another favorite of mine, but this is surely your best so far. I told 2 of the gals I work with today at work that it's a MUST READ. So I hope you are already at work on the next book. They keep getting better, so I'm looking forward to next one."

"I became a fan of Ms. Delinsky's book when I read Three Wishes and the more I read the better they get. I was so excited to finally get the book from the library that I read it in one day. Ms. Delinsky touches on family tragedy without weighing you down. Her writing makes you feel like you are right in the room with her characters. I think there is a little bit of Molly in us all where we do not see ourselves as strong as our own family sees us. Keep up the good work Ms. Delinsky! "
— AB, Louisville, KY

"I really enjoyed the first two chapters of your new book and found I was hooked from the beginning. I kind of guessed how the characters were going to be formed but nevertheless I can't wait to read the whole book and find out what happens."
— KS, Manchester, United Kingdom

"As usual, Barbara Delinsky delivers a novel that really touches on issues and deals with relationships that are relevant in today's world, with a little romance thrown in as well. I bought this book the day it hit the stores, read it immediately, and was not disappointed. I guess that's why I consider her my favorite author!"
— LM, Fairview, TX

"Just finished WMSS. You have done it again. Fantastic! Riveting and a book you can not put down. Thank you for your talent."
— BR, Plymouth Meeting, PA

"Just finished While My Sister Sleeps and want to let you know that I truly loved it! Coming from a family with 8 brothers and sisters and being smack in the middle- so many of the feelings felt by the characters in the book rang so true tomy family and myself. I can really relate to Molly in so many ways. I think that she is my favorite character out of all your books. I loved her! She handled situations thrown her way much better than she gave herself credit for doing. The book was so 'real' and believeable. Tough subjects--handled beautifully. Thank you again Barbara for giving your readers another wonderful book that was hard to put down once you started reading it! I will gladly let my family and friends know that this is 'a really good read'"
— MH, Abington, MA

"What a fantastic book. I could hardly put it down. As usual, this does not surprise me because all of your books are great. Mary Walt"
— MW, St. Petersburg, FL

"Great book. Excellent writing-so easy to read. I read it in less than 24 hours. Not exactly an uplifting book but great storyline that draws you in and makes it almost impossible to put down."
— AP, Sparks, NV

"I probably have read all your books and although i enjoyed this book it was not my favorite. It started out slow for me but after half-way through I became more involved. I will continue to read all your books and I hope there are many more to come. I am an avid reader and when I see you have a new book coming out, I can't wait to read it."
— BC, dallas, TX

"Fate, crisis, family dynamics, February 17, 2009 By Marilyn Shoemaker (Seattle, Washington Call it what you want but when you are personally dealt with a fatal situation it not only affects you but all of those around you. A family in crisis, a loved child, sibling and friend, how does one deal with this crisis? Barbara Delinsky's While My Sister Sleeps deals with all of the above and more.it's moving, emotional and will keep you in an emotional state with many lessons to be learned. If you've ever experienced a similar situation, you'll understand and if not, it will prepare or give you some guidance. It's complex. For me the emotional part of the book was the "letting go". I've personally had to experience this myself and I can without a doubt tell you it's a horrible decision to make but one that needs to be made for the betterment of the loved one. While My Sister Sleeps is brilliantly written as only Barbara Delinsky can deliver."
— MS, Seattle, WA

"Barbara Delinsky has done it again. She is my favorite author of all times. She has a knack of pulling you in from Chapter 1 and keeps you reading until the end. You get so involved with her characters that it hard to say good-bye at the end. Way to go Barbara. Another thrilling book."
— SK, Bloomington, IN

"I had my local book store order this book for me. I almost devoured it in one day. It was fabulous and the best of what I have come to expect from a Barbara Delinsky book. I could not put it down! The characters and the story line were so real and compelling. It really makes you think about what you would do in that situation. I always eagerly await a new book from Barbara and I was not dissapointed in anyway. Each book is better than the last one, I only wish I didn't have to wait so long for the next one!"
— KH, Marble Falls, TX

"Very moving. As usual, I could not put the book down. It was very interesting how the members of the family coped. This story tells us to be aware that anything could happen to anyone at anytime. We all have strengths in different ways. Barbara Delinsky came through again with a wonderful story. No surprise there!!"
— BG, Plano, TX

"Wow! This is a story that will take you to the highs & lows & back up to the highs of family relationships. We all have family relationships that might need to be mended & this book certainly brings to light the need to do it TODAY. We never think that we might not have another day with that person, but life can bring unexpected circumstances & the chance to make peace & ask forgiveness can be gone. I don't think you can read this fantastic book without the name of someone coming to mind that you need to call or go see with whom you need to mend fences. It's a hard lesson to learn but good CAN come from even horrible situations. "
— EG, Orlando, FL

"The first word that came to my mind was "WOW"!!! I fully expected the same type of book you usually write. What a surprise. I couldn't put it down..I had to finish it in one sitting. It was really heartrending, with hatred for Nick, annoyance with Katherine for blaming Molly and David. By the time I finished the book and got to bed, I douldn't fall asleep, It was absolutely a great book. My sister came down for a visit and she is now reading it and my daughter will also read it. I just loved it. But, then, I love all your books, except for "Three wishes". I am looking forward to more of your work. Thank you, Barbara. "
— ES, Clearwater, FL

"I bought While My Sister Sleeps on Tuesday, Feb 17th 2009, the day it came out. I snuck in a few chapters at my desk at work, then went home and read the entire book before I went to bed. It was that good. There was a lot going on the whole book that totally captiveated my interest. That's typical in Barbara's books I have found. It was worth the wait. I do enjoy getting the two early chapters. It makes waiting fun. Thank you Barbara, you have done it again. A very good read."
— KW, Stanwood, WA

"I was hooked on this book from page 1. These characters stayed on my mind and I had trouble putting the book down. It's a real page turner."

"Excellent book, I highly recommend it. Very good story without having to rely on sex to tell the story. It's hard to find good authors for this reason, so keep up the good work. Vicki"
— VK, Ottawa, IL

— SC, dubuque, IA

"As usual I loved this book! Barbara Delinsky has such a knack for writing about things that pull at our hearts...touching on topics that are always thought provoking. It was a joy reading this book that really makes you think about family relationships. Can we make assumptions about how important or unimportant we are within the family dynamics? Are things as they appear or are there multiple layers? I'd recommend this book hands down and only regret that I'm finished reading it. I just have to look forward to her next gift! Thanks for sharing your talents with all of us!"
— KH, Muskego, WI

"Barbara, This book was excellent. I have enjoyed all the books I have read of yours. I loaned this book to my 71 year old Aunt and she loved it. I got this book from you free from entering my name. Thank you so much. I have your Uplift book from Aug 2001 but don't have May 2003 and September 2006 which I plan to look for. I just found that I have a small place of cancer in my breast and will be taking Radiation. Again, thanks for the book. I loved it. Edna S Conner"
— EC, Clayton, DE

"Another great book by Barbara Delinsky! She writes with depth and provides twists and turns that keep us guessing on how this story will end. The Snow Family is faced with a tragic situation that makes them all question what they think they know. As I read this book, I felt like I was part of the family. I loved the honesty of Molly and felt like I would have loved to know Robin. I couldn't put the book down!"
— LH, Tucson, AZ

"Wow! I can't wait to read the rest of the story! I think this story could really ring true to many women in the same type of role in many families. I hope that the characters come to deal with the issues they have with each other and situations like this. I look forward to another Barbara Delinsky awesome read! Again, Wow!"
— MR, Auburn, WA

"I have only read the first two chapters, but, as usual, with Ms Delinsky's writing, it is filled with emotion. In fact those chapters brought to mind experiences of my own with feelings of inadequacy and unfair expectations. I can hardly wait to read the rest of it! I love reading Barbara's books because they are filled with everyday people who have real emotions and real reactions to experiences. As a reader I can relate and am drawn in so that I feel that I am part of the story. Barbara, you have a great gift and I thank you for sharing it with me and all your other readers."
— LP, New Westminster, BC
