"The Woman Next Door was my first Barbara Delinsky book. I couldn't put the book down. When I finished a chapter, I just needed to read another. The story is so real and certain issues that had taken place, I relate to on a personal level. I absolutely loved this book. I cannot wait to read another. Thank you"

"I couldn't put this book down. The story line made me look at my own marriage and brought some romance back. I loved all of the characters and sub plots. I can't wait to read another Delinsky novel. Thanks Barbara for getting me hooked into reading again. "

"I am enjoying this book immensely. It is an easy read and easy to understand. The way the book focuses in on different aspects of marriage from a female point of view is very enlightening. I have not read any other Barbara Delinsky books but will definitely read another one as soon as I finish this one. Most likely, it will be Accidental Woman. "

"There was so much I enjoyed in this book, especially the little conversations that the various women had inside their own heads, as they debated the whodunnit and pondered their own problems. It all rang true, for example, Amanda's superstitious need to buy "fresh" home pregnancy tests. I was particularly disappointed when it became clear how Barbara intended to resolve Amanda's infertility. With all due respect to S.O., there are plenty of us out here who'll feel this ending as a slap in the face. Few pieces of "well-meaning" advice are as ubiquitous, or as unwelcome, as "Just relax, stop trying." Whe "everyone" knows someone who gave up, adopted and then BAM! -- such rare, anecdotal success stories just give the rest of us one more way to fail."

"This is the first book I have read by this author and it won't be the last. It was wonderful and so true to life. "
— RR, Santa Rosa, CA

"This is a book about marriage, pregnancy or lack thereof, in-law issues, life and death, and emotions very realistically captured. As someone dealing particularly with the issue of infertility, it helped tremendously to read the chronicle of Amanda and Graham's journey toward intimacy, transparency, and the ups and downs of becoming pregnant. Really, with all the modern medical technology, it was refreshing to know that God outwitted them all. Much thanks, excellent, heartfelt writing!!!! "

"This is the second book I've read from this author and I can tell you that I am becoming a fan. The first book I read, Heart of the Night, started it all off for me. I could not put this book down! "

"Another great subject done well! Great character development. I got very wrapped up in each of these people and felt Barbara stayed honest with the final resolution of each couple and Graham and his family. Another great read! "

"At the end of THE VINEYARD, I read the excerpt on THE WOMAN NEXT DOOR. After a few pages, I seriously wanted to know "who done it" and why, and was bated to know more about the mysterious widow. A love mystery. Huh. Ya got me again. It was a lift to buy the book, with its cooling, quietly inviting cover. Finishing the novel satisfied absolutely. It's a delight to feel how simply BD's characters little-by-little slip contentment into intimate relationships. They work at it, yes, but they get there, or move on. "

"I listened to the abridged version this afternoon and found it a very intriguing book on relationships, trust and faithfulness. I love both Graham & Amanda's way with Jordy. I could also relate to Amanda as she sought acceptance by in-laws who came between her and her husband. I also love how Amanda reached out to Gretchen and in time became her friend. Again, another good book with lots to teach about family dynamics and relationships with both friends & family, especially those neighbours who seem to be always watching. "

"Truly intriguing! The Woman Next Door was my first read from you, Barbara, and what a treat it was. It felt like I was involved, only the characters could not hear or see me! I had a hard time putting the book down to go to work! I look forward to reading my next book I have just purchased yesterday, Coast Road. "
— JR, Sudbury, ON

"The was a really enjoyable book to read. The characters were well defined. I felt like I was one of the neighbors as well, sharing their fears and concerns. This could be my neighborhood. A delight for any reader!"

"This is a great book to make you forget the lazy, hazy days of Summer. Barbara has a talent for making the reader feel as if they know the characters in her books and The Woman Next Door is certainly no exception. These people could easily be your friends or neighbors and you often feel as if you are eavesdropping on their private lives. This book explores many of the problems that are facing families today and is a "must read" for parents of teenagers."

"When you're only on page 10 and you're LOVING the book, you know you're in for a fabulous read. When you're on page 100 and you're 'milking' the book because you don't want to rush it, you know you have a DIK (Desert Isle Keeper). That's how I felt about THE WOMAN NEXT DOOR. Barbara, it was fantastic. I loved every page of it! I didn't want the book to end. Loved, loved, loved the ending."

"Another in a long line of wonderful books by Barbara Delinsky. Barbara Delinsky's characters are so believable. Her story flows smoothly from one event to the other and the people are like people we all know. Her characters have such substance, and Amanda, the main character, is so lovable, you want to rush to her aid during her difficult times. Barbara Delinsky engenders such strong feelings for her characters in all of her books and she has done so again. This is a highly readable book."

"You have outdone yourself with this one! This was, by far, the best book I have read this year!!!!! I could so easily relate to the feelings, thoughts, and actions. So many things came to light about trust, love, and the relationships we value. I LOVED IT! I could have cried when I finished because I wanted MORE!!!!!"
